Two packaging oscars

Verallia, its high-end brand Selective Line and its client Maison du Sud - Jeanjean have just won two Oscars for the GEM bottle in the categories "Consumption" (design and graphic identity) and "Transformation" (glass inventiveness, aesthetic and practical quality).

This bottle, designed by Leslie Dabin - then a student at the Ecole Pivaut in Nantes, was awarded the 2016 French edition of the Verallia Design Awards,"Wines"category.

In 2016, the theme was "Glass... of new horizons" and the Serac bottle (name given by Leslie to her project) had won the competition. Maison du Sud-Jeanjean, a member of the jury, was immediately seduced by the student's project. His idea? Preserving the traditional wine codes - the basis of creation is a classic Bordeaux bottle - while creating very different breaks: new facets, ergonomic gripping and diamond-shaped bottom stitching. Maison du Sud - Jeanjean has capitalized on this proximity to the world of luxury and jewellery by marketing this bottle under its GEM brand.
